Your Library Card

Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.

Who Can Get a Card?

Anyone presenting a current photo ID along with proof of current residence.  Children who can sign their name may have their own card.

How to Get Your Card

Simply stop by the library to fill out an application.  Be sure to bring something with you that shows your current address.

Borrowing Limits

The first time you use your new library card, you are limited to two books and two videos.  Once you have shown responsibility in returning books on time, you may check out five DVD’s at a time and unlimited other materials.

Reserving Materials

Materials may be reserved in person, by phone, or online by entering the “my account” area.  We will notify you once your book is ready and it will be held for three days at the circulation counter.

Renewing Your Borrowed Items

You may renew your items in person, by phone, or online by entering the “my account” area.  There may be times an item is not renewable, such as if it is on reserve for another member, there are unpaid fines on your account, or it has already been renewed once.

Late Fees

Late fees are assessed in the amount of $1.00 per day per movie and $.25 per day per item for all other materials.  Please return books on time to keep your account active.  Remember that we have a book drop outside the front door for your convenience during hours we are not open.
